Drops of Oil

Jahria Zion 9/18/12
“The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon.” (34) My Drops of oil are going to school, getting all of my work done, and getting good grades. These are important drops of oil because if I want to go to college and get a good career I have to be smart and learn. Grades and school are also important to me. Having good grades make my mom proud of me, and that feels really good. Doing well in school also gets me a college degree and a good job. When I’m older I want to be a graphic designer and get into the computer work field. My grandma and I are really close. I love to stay at her house on the weekends, so when I get older I want to provide for her so she can fully retire and not work at all. To make sure I don’t spill these drops of oil I have done a few things so far. The first one is my mom and I hired my friend Garrett to be my tutor for school work. It works out really well because he’s in my class so he knows all of the work I have. My marvels of the world (the things I enjoy in life) are being with my family and staying on their good side. I love to hang out with my friends. I like to do lots of stuff with them; I’ve done so many things with my friends I’ve gone on trips with them and I just enjoy being with my friends. This summer I really want to go to Six Flags with my friends.
